A coalition of leading charge point operators in India has announced an ambitious infrastructure expansion plan to deploy over 5,000 new high-speed DC fast chargers along major national highways over the next 18 months.
Intercity Travel Simplified
The expansion targets busy highway corridors, including Mumbai-Pune, Delhi-Jaipur, and Bengaluru-Chennai. Chargers will range from 60 kW to 150 kW, allowing long-distance travelers to quickly top up their batteries during short breaks.
This initiative is expected to significantly reduce range anxiety for EV owners planning intercity journeys.
